LCAA expands by two

Hillsdale, Columbia Central join league

The Lenawee County Athletic Association is welcoming two more high schools into the conference. The LCAA executive council voted to accept Hillsdale and Columbia Central beginning with the 2012 fall sports season.

Blissfield athletic director Steve Babbitt says he is excited about the change.
“The Lenawee County Athletic Association is following in the footsteps of all the great athletic conferences around the country ... and is growing.”
According to an LCAA press release, Stockbridge had also applied to enter the league but was turned down, as the LCAA constitution allows for a maximum of eight schools, and the executive council voted against amending the constitution.
