A new salon has opened in downtown Blissfield, and owner Amber Soss says Salon MAX offers fresh styles at a fair price.
In her cozy shop near the southeast corner of Lane Street and U.S. 223, Soss provides cuts, color, highlights, perms, relaxers, waxing, facials and more for both men and women.
“My clients range from 7 years old to 87 years old,” says Soss with a laugh. “People just feel comfortable when they come in here, and that’s what I want.”
Soss says in times like these, competitive pricing is a priority.
“I’m more of a practical shop,” says Soss. “I understand that this is not the best economy right now, and you have to be able to adjust your prices. Women can’t afford right now to go out and spend $120 to get their hair styled and cut, and I understand that.”
Soss offers discounts to seniors and children. She says careful spending on her part translates to savings for her clients.
