Team takes unified approach to TCC title
If Britton Deerfield boys varsity coach Darren Shiels had to pick one word to describe his Patriot squad this year he would use the word “unity”.
They are also young, athletic and eager to win.
Twelve of the 13-man roster are juniors and the remaining player is a sophomore.
Shiels has a very versatile hard working bunch of players who at the junior varsity level and as football players this fall have gotten a taste of winning and understand what it takes to win games.
“We sat down earlier and the boys all said they want to win,” Shiels said.
