BASEBALL April 27, 2011, edition of The Advance

The Blissfield varsity baseball team was 1-2 at the Homerun Pizza Invitational tournament Saturday morning.
Blissfield kicked off the tournament by defeating Parma Western 7-5. Schmidt pitched a great game, striking out 12 pitchers and allowing just one earned run. 
In the second round Blissfield fell to DeWitt 15-6. Devin Moore was the winning pitcher. 
In the final round the Royals were beaten by the Airport Jets, 10-4.
Knorr pitched eight innings and allowed three earned runs. Trevino was the closing pitcher. 
BRITTON DEERFIELD
The Patriots lost to Sand Creek 7-3 on Wednesday, April 20. Although the game started out on an even keel, the Aggies took control by the third inning and gained a comfortable lead from there on out.
