Wrestling Individual Districts from the Feb. 16, 2011 edition
Eight BHS wrestlers headed for regionals
Blissfield High School hosted the MHSAA Individual District Tournament Feb. 12. Athletes from 14 schools competed to move one step closer to the state championship. Eight Blissfield wrestlers secured a place in the upcoming regional tournament.
Dalton Goetz, who was perfect for the day, placed first in the 171-pound class.
Christian Davis placed second in the 285-pound class.
Also making the podium were Daniel Barta, 112 pounds; Mitch Winkelman, 140 pounds; Ean Sablich, 145 pounds; Blake Haupricht, 171 pounds; Nathan Bayer, 189 pounds; and Dylan Thompson in the 285-pound class.
These wrestlers will compete in the MHSAA Individual Regional Tournament at Manchester Feb. 19
